DANO

 

Daniel Gorsic, PChem., Chief Executive Officer

Daniel Gorsic, leader of the SynergyAspen team, began his environmental science career in 1994. Mr. Gorsic is a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Chemistry and Environmental Resource Studies and is also a member of the Association of Professional Chemists of British Columbia.

Mr. Gorsic founded Synergy Environmental Strategies Inc. in 2007 and subsequently merged Synergy with Aspen Environmental in 2012 to form SynergyAspen Environmental Inc. He is tasked with leading and developing the company in British Columbia and beyond. He is a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Gorsic lives in Belcarra, BC with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid tennis player and member of the volunteer fire department.

 

 

JEREMIAH

 

Jeremiah Gladu, P.Ag., CSAP, Chief Operating Officer

Jeremiah Gladu is our Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gladu holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Manitoba and an Environmental Engineering Technology Diploma from Confederation College. He is a member of the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists and was appointed by the Ministry of Environment to the Contaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) Society as a Standards Assessment Specialist.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gladu is responsible for building people, especially the next level of Project, Client and Operations Managers; developing, collecting and monitoring important business metrics in a timely fashion; ensuring the execution of the tactics required to achieve our business strategies; coordinating and leading the forecasting of revenue and human resources needs and developing new and innovative services packages that meet the needs of a changing regulatory framework. He is also responsible for our Health & Safety program. This ensures we meet and exceed all regulatory and client health and safety requirements.

Mr. Gladu has over 14 years of experience in supervising and managing contaminated site investigations and remediation projects. He specializes in the upstream oil and gas sector. In addition to his responsibilities as COO he works closely with oil and gas clients to ensure the protection of human health and the environment, to reduce liability, and to bring regulatory closure to their sites.

Mr. Gladu lives in Port Moody, BC with his wife and three children. His family keeps him busy, and he is active as a board member of his strata association.

 

 

Nancy

 

Nancy Spagnut, CPA, CMA, Controller

Nancy Spagnut has over 12 years of experience in Finance, and she has worked internationally in the mining and metals sector.

Ms. Spagnut obtained her CPA, CMA designation in 2006; and is a graduate of Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) with a Bachelor in Accounting.   She is currently working towards her CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification.

Ms. Spagnut’s areas of expertise include accounting & finance, organizational systems, information management and report writing. She also provides SynergyAspen experience in budgeting, financial controls, and strategic planning. An avid mentor of her department staff; Mrs. Spagnut takes great pride in creating an environment that inspires excellence.

Ms. Spagnut was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina and made Metro Vancouver her home in 1999. Nancy enjoys nature, theatre and classical music.

 

 

TANYA

 

Tanya Allen, B.Sc., P.Ag., Client Manager and Technical Advisor, Reclamation

For the past thirteen years, Tanya Allen has worked in the oil and gas industry in Northeast British Columbia. Ms. Allen is a Professional Agrologist, registered in British Columbia, and earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Northern British Columbia. Her experience includes work in the Agricultural Land Reserve for construction and reclamation projects, Phase 1 & 2 commercial and oil and gas assessments, and Certificate of Restoration (COR) applications.

In addition to her environmental work, Ms. Allen has experience with surface land administration and referral applications and working closely with the Oil and Gas Commission (OGC). Her work ranges from the initial construction of oil and gas facilities through to the investigation, remediation and reclamation of those facilities.

Ms. Allen was raised on a cattle ranch in the Fort St. John area, and she currently resides in the same city with her husband and two children. She enjoys horseback riding with her family and working on their small hobby farm.

 

 

 

Shellie English, QRS, Advisor, Aboriginal Inclusion & Reclamation

Shellie English is a co-founder of SynergyAspen and continues to provide services on a contract basis. Ms. English began her career in land reclamation and environmental construction monitoring in 1999. She attended Olds College and obtained her diploma in Land Resource Management, Soil Classification and Reclamation. She is a Certified Technologist with the Applied Science Technicians and Technologists of BC and is recognized by the OGC as a Qualified Reclamation Specialist (QRS).

A native of Fort St. John, Ms. English provides local presence that is essential to ensure successful reclamation, construction monitoring, and remediation projects. As a previous co-owner, she continues to contribute her support and services, and she understands and appreciates the importance of community and client relationships.

Ms. English lives in Fort St. John with her two daughters. She is an outdoor recreation enthusiast and a member of the local 4H Community Association.
